Why should I submit a report?

Right-wing extremist activities pose a great danger to our society! Help us fight back!

Right-wing extremism is dangerous and takes a whole range of forms. The security authorities have been tasked to protect our free democratic constitution, eliminate dangers and prevent or prosecute any related crimes.

With your assistance, we can tackle serious right-wing extremist crimes, observe activities at an early stage, identify criminals and organisations and therefore prevent harm to people, property and our society. Your anonymity as a whistleblower for serious right-wing extremist crimes and activities will be guaranteed.

All other information relating to right-wing extremist crimes and activities should be reported to your local police station or the online monitor operated by your police force. You will find a link to the website of your state's police force at https://www.bka.de under Contact, Online Monitor.

What is the process for submitting a report? What is a postbox and how do I set up one?

To submit an anonymous or personalised report, start by clicking the “Submit report“ button at the top of our introduction page.

There are 4 steps to the report process:

1. First, you will be asked to read some information on the protection of your anonymity and to respond to a security query.
2. On the following page, you will be asked about the category of your report.
3. On the report page, you can elaborate on your report in your own words and answer questions about the incident by simply selecting responses. You can type up to 5000 characters into the free text field, which corresponds to a full A4 page. You may also submit a file of up to 5 MB to support your report. Please do bear in mind that documents can contain information about the author. Following the sending of your report, you will receive a reference number as confirmation that you have forwarded this report.
4. Please subsequently set up your own secured postbox. You will receive feedback from us via this postbox, including answers to questions and information about the progress of your report.

If you already have a secured postbox, you can access it directly via the ”Login“ button. First, you will have to answer a security query.

As long as you do not enter any data from which conclusions about your person can be drawn, the technology of the BKMS^® System will protect your anonymity.

Please rest assured that we are interested only in the incident you are reporting. Malpractices should be revealed and financial losses prevented.

What reports can I submit?

You can submit reports about right-wing extremist activities. Information about serious crimes motivated by right-wing extremism and about right-wing extremist structures is particularly important.

In an emergency which requires immediate intervention by the police, please dial the emergency number 110 without delay.

The Competence Centre against Extremism in Baden-Württemberg can provide support and advice about extremism motivated by religious and political views. For further information, go to https://www.konex-bw.de.

If you have questions or information about other crimes, please contact your local police station. The Baden-Württemberg police force will also accept anonymous information relating to economic crime and corruption on a separate report site. For further information, go to www.polizei-bw.de.

How do I receive feedback and remain anonymous at the same time?

The main priority of this application operated by Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Investigation Department is to protect the whistleblower.

Responses and questions if any points are unclear will only be sent to the secured postbox that you set up at the end of the reporting process. When you set up the postbox, you can choose your pseudonym/user name and your password yourself. If you lose your access data, please submit a new report and set up a new postbox. If possible, please quote the reference number from your previous report. As this is a new postbox, it will not include the contents of your previous report.

The Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Investigation Department can use this postbox to contact you. You will remain anonymous as a result of the special encryption and other security technologies used for the postbox.

How can I guarantee CONFIDENTIALITY?

We must point out that the Public Prosecutor's Department can provide you with anonymity in certain cases and if it is aware of your identity. Your name would then not be used in any criminal proceedings. It is, of course, possible to contact the investigation authorities and the State Criminal Investigation Department in person outside the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Investigation Department's reporting system.
