How does Siemens Healthineers evaluate my report?
Siemens Healthineers has set up a central unit, Corporate Compliance, for processing and reviewing compliance related reports, staffed with trained experts in this field. They report only to the Chief Compliance Officer and are employees of the Compliance Organization of Siemens Healthcare GmbH or selected regional companies of Siemens Healthineers.
Upon receipt of your report, the Corporate Compliance department checks whether an in-depth investigation is required. An investigation can be carried out by internal or external investigation specialists. In many cases, employees from our global compliance organization must be involved locally. Your report may also be forwarded to departments other than the Compliance Department, such as Human Resources or Employee Health and Safety, if such departments are responsible for the topic that you have reported to us. However, confidentiality will remain and communication with you occurs exclusively via the employees of Corporate Compliance.
As part of the internal investigation, our investigation team determines the facts through a variety of measures. Part of this is to give the accused the opportunity to comment on the circumstances you have reported to us. If you have provided your name but do not want the accused to know it through our investigation, then please indicate this in your report. If required, the reported information may also be disclosed to state authorities.
You will be informed about the outcome of your information via the installed postbox in Let Us Know. However, for data protection and - depending on the nature of the case - other legal requirements, we cannot communicate details about results of the investigation and implemented measures.
If you would prefer your report to be received and assessed by the responsible local Compliance Officer or Compliance Organization, and not by the Corporate Compliance team, please take the following steps. Submit a report stating only that you have a matter you wish to be dealt with locally, identifying only the country in which you reside, and open a postbox. You will then be given the contact information of the responsible local Compliance Officer and you will be allowed to contact them directly.
