What kind of information should be posted on the system?

Only violations of the categories mentioned at the beginning should be reported.

How does a report work, how do I set up a postbox?

If you would like to submit a report either with your name or anonymously, click the “Submit report” button at the upper left of our info page.

The reporting process consists of 4 steps:

1. First you are asked to read the data protection information and an information on protecting your anonymity and to answer a security query.
2. On the next page you are asked for the category of your report.
3. On the reporting page, phrase your information in your own words and select answers to questions about the case. You may use up to 5,000 characters in the free-text field, which corresponds to a full DIN A4 page. You may also attach files up to 5 MB to support your report. Keep in mind that electronic documents may contain information about the author. After submitting your report you receive a reference number as proof that you submitted this report.
4. After this, please set up your own, secured postbox. This will be used by us to send you answers, to respond to your questions and to inform you about the progress of your notification.

If you already have a secured postbox, you can reach this postbox directly by clicking on the “Login” button. Here as well, you must first answer a security query.

As long as you do not submit any data yourself that allows conclusions to be drawn about your identity, the BKMS^® System protects your anonymity technically.

We assure you that we are only interested in the case you are reporting. Irregularities should be exposed and financial damage averted.

How can I receive an answer, yet at the same time remain anonymous?

The principle of the BKMS^® System that is used is to protect the whistleblower's identity. The system's anonymity protection function is certified and can be verified by you at any time.

When setting up your secured postbox you should choose your pseudonym/user name and password yourself. Encryption and other special security methods ensure that your report remains anonymous at all times. At no time during the reporting process will you be asked for personal information. If you wish to remain anonymous, please do not submit any information that can be traced back to your personal identity. Also, please do not submit your report on a PC provided by your employer.

The person in charge of your report will contact you via your secured postbox to provide information about the status of your report or to ask further questions if certain details need to be clarified – during this process your anonymity will always be protected. We are interested in these reports in order to prevent damages, not to get information about the person who submitted them.
